Yoshinoya was established in 1899 at the riverside fish market of Nihonbashi in Tokyo. For over 100 years since then it has dedicated itself to serving "Tasty, Cheap and Quick" gyu-don dishes (beef rice bowl), delighting all its customers with its food and service. In addition to gyu-don, the restaurant serves gyukarubi-don (beef short ribs on rice), featuring grilled rib meat with an aromatic soy sauce, and unaju (grilled eel rice box), made of carefully-selected, plump eel meat flavored with the house-special soy sauce. Table seating is available for families, friends and colleagues to enjoy a conversation. Child seats and a children's menu are available. Please feel free to ask. Best view while exiting the station of all the stations I've been to in Japan so far. You walk out and are immediately greeted by a straight view down the road of Himeji Castle in the distance.

Used the coin lockers here and was satisfied I didnâ€™t need to lug my luggage to the castle

We had JR Rail pass and had to pick a Hikari Shinkansen towards Kyoto in 10 minutes.A very professional and skilled lady kindly approached and assisted us in perfect English, she navigated through de ticket vending machines very quickly, explained us all the details and took the Shinkansen tickets for us.We were able to board the Shinkansen, we even had 6-7 minutes of free time!ã‚ã‚ŠãŒã¨ã†ã”ã–ã„ã¾ã™ English speaking JR assistant lady, you deserve a promotion.
